Ballasting

For pneumatic tyre rollers in the HP series, HAMM offers a flexible ballasting concept that can be used quickly and easily on construction sites. Two large ballast chambers between the wheel sets provide a foundation for ballasting. Here, pre-made ballast bodies made of steel, heavy concrete or concrete can be inserted or removed using a forklift truck, for instance. The different ballasting variants therefore allow for a high degree of flexibility when selecting the wheel load, which, alongside the inner tyre pressure and roller speed, is key to compaction force and depth.

Telescoping system Extending Screeds

HAMMTRONIC is an electronic machine management system that monitors and controls all key machine functions, thereby increasing safety, economy and fuel savings. The opportunities offered by HAMMTRONIC include, for instance, automatic adjustment of the diesel engine speed to meet the power requirements of the individual drives. Moreover, HAMMTRONIC controls start-up and braking, and distributes the drive torques across the drum axis and back wheels in line with current operating data. HAMMTRONIC also controls the hydrostatic vibration drive and the various steering programmes (for DV+ series only), guaranteeing even, smooth movement of both drums.

Range of paving applications

Thanks to the wide range of paving widths from 0.25 m to 1.8 m, the MINI paver is suitable for a variety of paving tasks such as paving between tracks or in milled tracks. This makes it possible to lay asphalt by machine on the smallest of surfaces.

Undercarriage

The crawler undercarriage ensures optimum traction on loose ground. Thanks to its extreme maneuverability, the MINI 500 can maneuver in the smallest of spaces.

Operating concept

The operator has everything in view from the operator’s station directly behind the screed. This means that one person is often sufficient for operation. The functions of the switches are indicated by clear symbols in a language-neutral approach. As the symbols are identical to the operating concept, ErgoBasic the changeover is particularly easy for experienced operators of VÖGELE machines. But even inexperienced operators will soon find their way around the clearly-arranged operator’s console. Two additional screed remote controls are available for larger working widths.

    The MINI pavers are equipped with the AB 135 V extending screed, which can be hydraulically extended from 0.8 m to 1.35 m in width. A maximum working width of 1.8 m can be achieved with two widening sections.

Drive technology
  • A water-cooled two-cylinder diesel engine with an output of just 10.2 kW is sufficient to reliably drive all hydraulic units. The economical engine can run for an entire working day on a 16-liter tank.
Material management
  • The material hopper is fed from the side by a wheel loader or a compact loader. The large material hopper holds up to 1.2 tons of mix.
